This is the longest aged blend Crown Royal has ever released, and everything about it is built to signal that. The whisky arrives in a heavy crown shaped crystal decanter with a faceted stopper and gold collar, sitting inside the brand's signature cream bag with a gold drawstring, packed in a ribbed gold collector's box. It launched in late 2023 as a limited regional release across roughly a dozen states, and it has been scarce ever since. Thirty years is an extraordinary age for North American whisky. Evaporation loss compounds year after year, and most spirit either disappears into the angels' share or turns bitterly over oaked long before three decades. Crown Royal's advantage is its Coffey still distillation, which the brand describes as the only stills of their kind in North America, producing a lighter and cleaner distillate that can absorb far more time in wood without collapsing under it. The blend is built around Canadian rye grain, and even after thirty years that spice is still clearly present rather than sanded away. What lands in the glass is deep amber and genuinely rich. The nose opens on ripe pear and orchard fruit with maple syrup, baking spice and toasted oak. The palate carries real weight, with rye spice and licorice against vanilla, dried fruit and a creamy sweetness, and the texture is velvety rather than sharp. The finish is exceptionally long, warming and balanced. Drink it neat, or over a single rock at most. This is a milestone bottle and a serious gift, and it is not a whisky to mix.

What proof is Crown Royal Aged 30 Years? It is bottled at 92 proof, or 46 percent alcohol by volume, above the standard Crown Royal strength.
Why is a thirty year old Canadian whisky unusual? Evaporation loss compounds heavily over decades and most spirit becomes excessively oaky long before that point. Crown Royal's Coffey still distillate is lighter and cleaner, allowing it to absorb far more time in wood.
How limited is it? It was released as a limited edition in a restricted number of states, and availability has been constrained since launch. Bottles are not replenished on the shelf.
What does it come with? The crystal decanter arrives in the signature Crown Royal bag with a gold drawstring, presented in a gold ribbed collector's box.
How should I drink it? Neat, or with a single rock at most. At thirty years and 92 proof the character is best preserved without dilution, and it does not belong in a cocktail.
