The series rule is fixed: every Pact is a different blend of three bourbons, released once, and never made again. For this one, master blender John Rempe started with a fourteen year old ryed bourbon carrying dark oak, leather and tobacco, then brought in an eight year old that runs toasty and warm with cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg. The third component is a seven year old full of roasted caramel and honeyed raisin, and it is the only one of the three given a secondary maturation, rested and mellowed in cognac casks. That single finished component is what defines the whole thing.
