In early April 2019 Suntory brought the AO on the Japanese market. Malt and Grain whiskeys from 5 countries (Scotland, Japan, Ireland, USA, and Canada) were married to each other for this top blend. "AO" means blue in Japanese and is intended to symbolize the oceans that connect the five countries.
