Sabra Chocolate Orange Liqueur is the iconic Israeli liqueur first developed in 1963 by Edgar Bronfman Sr. of Seagram, created to be an identifiably Israeli spirit and named after the Hebrew term for a native born Israeli. The signature chocolate character is produced by percolating neutral spirit through ground roasted cocoa beans, drawing out a deep bittersweet cocoa note without heavy sweetness. The orange element is what sets Sabra apart from every other chocolate liqueur on the market, derived from a maceration of Israeli grown Jaffa oranges and kumquats that contribute a tangy, perfumed citrus dimension. The bottle itself is modeled on a 2,000 year old Phoenician wine flask discovered in a Tel Aviv museum, embossed with the Sabra name and finished with a gold neck. Bottled at 30% ABV and certified kosher, including kosher for Passover, Sabra works equally well neat, slightly chilled, over ice, in espresso martinis, in chocolate martinis, or poured over ice cream as an after dinner finisher.

Is Sabra Liqueur kosher? Yes. Sabra is fully kosher certified and kosher for Passover, which is part of why it became one of the most recognized Israeli spirits worldwide.
What cocktails can I make with Sabra? Sabra works beautifully in chocolate martinis, espresso martinis, Brandy Alexanders, and as a coffee or hot chocolate add in. It also pours well over vanilla ice cream and pairs with dark chocolate desserts.
