First of all, the picture is the standard Pike Creek, not the 10 year. There is no rope on the neck of the 10 year bottle. Pike Creek is probably the best Canadian Whisky out there for you people who drink it neat. All Canadian whisky tastes like Canadian Whisky, so unless you are a real connoisseur, you are probably better off the buy Canadian Club, VO, or Crown for half the price. However, if you want the absolutely smoothest finish on the planet, this is the good stuff. I actually prefer the regular to the 10 year and you can find them both at around the same price if you shop for it. The 10 year has a little more flavor up front if you do a side by side test, but it is a little more peppery due to the longer age. The whole point of this whisky is the smooth finish, and unless you are testing side by side you can't tell the flavor profile is stronger, so I prefer the regular. Other than that finish, it tastes like all Canadian Whisky.
For a true Canadian Whisky enthusiast who is going to drink this neat, this is as good as it gets. For a regular whisky drinker, or you are using ice, water, or mix, buy something cheaper. You won't be able to tell the difference.
