Clase Azul Dia de Muertos 2025 Recuerdos is the fifth and final chapter of the brand's celebrated Nuestros Recuerdos series, an annual limited edition devoted to Mexico's most cherished tradition, Dia de Muertos. The series began in 2021 with Sabores, followed by Colores, Aromas and Musica, and now closes with Recuerdos, a tribute to the memories that keep departed loved ones present and to the ofrendas through which families honor their lives. Crafted under Master Distiller Viridiana Tinoco, this is an anejo tequila made from 100 percent blue Weber agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco. The blend harmonizes tequilas aged 12 to 38 months in first use American whiskey casks, and a portion of the agave is slow cooked in a traditional pit oven, a technique borrowed from mezcal making that lends a rich, layered smokiness rarely found in premium tequila. The liquid pours a deep amber with golden highlights. The nose opens with cooked agave, smoked wood, orange peel, caramel and clove with a hint of dark cherry, while the palate is velvety and full bodied, moving through orange marmalade, vanilla, butterscotch, dried fruit and baking spice into a long, elegant finish of citrus and toasted wood. The handcrafted ivory decanter is a work of art in itself, its soft palette evoking quiet remembrance, with base artwork depicting a traditional ofrenda surrounded by the spirits of loved ones. A 24 karat gold plated locket ornament opens to reveal a hand carved obsidian cameo. Strictly limited to 10,000 individually numbered one liter decanters, it is best enjoyed neat in a wide bowled glass. This is a collector's treasure as much as a tequila.
