Espolón Blanco is produced at Destiladora San Nicolas (NOM 1440) in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco — an altitude and red volcanic soil combination long considered ideal for producing Blue Weber agave with higher natural sugar content. Founded in 1996 under Master Distiller Cirilo Oropeza and acquired by Campari Group in 2009, Espolón has grown into one of the US's fastest growing premium tequilas, winning the Impact "Hot Brand" award five years in a row. The agave is quartered rather than halved before autoclave cooking, giving more surface area for even cooking, then double distilled through a combination of column and pot stills. The result is an unaged blanco that punches well above its price point with a genuinely expressive, food-friendly agave character. The label artwork celebrates Mexican history and culture through the Day of the Dead style illustrations of artist Steven Noble, depicting Ramón the Rooster charging into battle alongside Mexico's 1810 revolution. Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof).

What is the story behind the label?
The Espolón Blanco label depicts Ramón the Rooster — a symbol of Mexican national pride — charging into battle during Mexico's 1810 War of Independence. The Día de los Muertos-style illustrations by artist Steven Noble celebrate pivotal moments in Mexican history across the full Espolón range, making each bottle a work of art in its own right.
