The Blanton's Original Single Barrel and Miniature Bundle pairs a full size bottle of the bourbon that launched the modern single barrel category with a 50ml Blanton's miniature, making it an easy and memorable gift. Blanton's was introduced in 1984 by Buffalo Trace master distiller Elmer T. Lee and named in honour of Colonel Albert B. Blanton, the distillery's longtime leader, who once set aside whiskey from select barrels for ambassadors, dignitaries, family and friends. Every bottle is drawn from one individual barrel, never blended with any other, and the barrels are hand selected from the centre cut sections of Warehouse H, the only metal clad warehouse at Buffalo Trace. The bourbon is distilled from the high rye Mash Bill #2 and bottled at 93 proof. The full size bottle is hand labelled with the barrel's dump date, barrel number, warehouse and rick, and topped with one of eight collectible horse and jockey stoppers, each showing a stage of a race and a letter from the Blanton's name. The miniature is a perfect taster to share, keep as a keepsake, or add to a collection. Expect creamy vanilla, caramel and butterscotch over clove, nutmeg and cinnamon, a sweet palate with citrus and oak, and a smooth, lingering finish. Enjoy it neat or on the rocks.
