WhistlePig FarmStock Rye Crop No. 003 is the historically significant third annual release of WhistlePig's Triple Terroir Whiskey, and the first FarmStock to feature a majority WhistlePig grain to glass component. The blend is 52% three year old WhistlePig estate distilled Vermont rye, 31% six year old rye, and 17% ten year old Alberta Canadian rye, married together and bottled at 86 proof. Triple Terroir means the grain, the water, and the wood all come from WhistlePig's Shoreham, Vermont farm. The estate rye was grown by Farmer Lee, distilled and proofed with water from the farm well, and aged in custom Vermont White Oak barrels coopered from locally and sustainably sourced trees. Bottled in barn at the farm in August 2019, this is a discontinued annual vintage and the final installment of the FarmStock Crop series in its original form, capturing the moment WhistlePig transitioned from sourced rye toward fully estate distilled whiskey.
