Distilled and aged in Bardstown, Kentucky from a mash bill of 74% corn, 18% rye, and 8% malted barley, the whiskey matures in deeply charred #4 American oak barrels before being hand selected and bottled at 86 proof by Three Springs Bottling Company in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Calumet Farm itself was established in 1924 in Lexington and went on to produce eight Kentucky Derby winners, eight Preakness winners, and two Triple Crown champions including the legendary Whirlaway, and the bourbon honors that legacy with every bottle. This 17 and 7 year blend was named "The World's Best Bourbon Whiskey" at the 2025 WSWA Wine and Spirits Tasting Competition, succeeding the older 15 and 8 year blend that has now sold out in most markets.
