Bib and Tucker Small Batch Bourbon is a richly flavored, six year old small batch bourbon wrapped in one of the most striking bottles on the shelf, a heavy embossed amber flask topped with a cork. The name Bib and Tucker is an old American expression for one's finest attire, the dressed up best you might wear to a celebration, and the whiskey is built to live up to that spirit of occasion. Sourced from a respected Tennessee distillery and crafted from a high rye bourbon mashbill of 70 percent corn, 26 percent rye, and 4 percent malted barley, it is double distilled, first through a column still and then through an old fashioned copper pot still, before being aged a minimum of six years in number one charred new American white oak barrels. Each small batch is hand numbered, a nod to its craft, celebratory character. Bottled at 92 proof, it pours a warm amber and opens with an inviting nose of vanilla, caramel, sweet hay, toasted pecan, and gentle oak, accented by sandalwood and baking spice. The palate is smooth and nicely balanced, with butterscotch, vanilla, pecan pie sweetness, cinnamon, and a welcome lift of rye spice, leading to a finish of caramel, honey, vanilla custard, and tobacco. Refined yet approachable and easy drinking at its measured proof, it is an excellent everyday sipping bourbon and a fine choice for raising a toast on any occasion, whether enjoyed neat, over ice, or in a classic cocktail.
