Jim Beam Distiller's Masterpiece PX Sherry Cask Finish is a 2013 limited edition release with just 2,000 bottles produced, originally available only at the Jim Beam American Stillhouse in Kentucky. Master Distiller Fred Noe, the seventh generation of the Beam family and great grandson of Colonel James B. Beam, hand selected extra aged Kentucky Straight Bourbon from the optimal rickhouse positions, mature 10 to 12 year stock, and finished it in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The result is one of the first American bourbons ever treated to a PX finish, an extension of the legendary Distiller's Masterpiece tradition Fred's father Booker Noe created in 1999. Presented in a crystal decanter inside a wooden display case with Plexiglas front, this is a serious collector grade bourbon.

How rare is this Distiller's Masterpiece release? Only 2,000 bottles were produced for the 2013 release, originally sold exclusively at the Jim Beam American Stillhouse in Clermont, Kentucky. A limited number eventually appeared at select retailers nationwide. It has been out of production for over a decade.
What's the connection to Booker Noe? Fred Noe's father Booker Noe created the original Jim Beam Distiller's Masterpiece in 1999, finished in cognac casks. A second release followed with a port finish. This 2013 PX Sherry edition is Fred's continuation of his father's tradition, hand selecting bourbon from the best rickhouse positions before finishing.
Is the wooden display case included? Yes. The Distiller's Masterpiece arrives in its original wooden presentation case with Plexiglas front and back, designed to display the crystal decanter as the centerpiece.
