The whisky tells the oak story with unusual clarity. The Macallan's sherry-seasoned casks are crafted to the distillery's exact specifications — a process that begins six years before a drop of whisky touches the wood — and those casks account for up to 80% of the whisky's flavour and 100% of its natural colour.
