Russian Standard Gold is the elevated expression in the Russian Standard portfolio, produced at the brand's state of the art distillery in St. Petersburg. The base spirit is made from Russian winter wheat harvested on the central steppes and distilled with glacial waters drawn from Lake Ladoga, the largest freshwater lake in Europe. What sets Gold apart from the Original is the infusion of Siberian golden root, a flowering alpine plant known in Russian herbal tradition as "rhodiola" and used historically by Siberian hunters and warriors for its warming character. After distillation the spirit is charcoal filtered and passed through a series of silver and birch coal filtration stages that give the liquid its signature silky mouthfeel. Bottled at 40% ABV in the embossed bottle with the imperial eagle and gold label, this 1L format is the right size for martinis, cold neat pours, and mixing at home.

What is the difference between Russian Standard Gold and Original?
Both share the same winter wheat base and Lake Ladoga water. Gold is infused with Siberian golden root (rhodiola), which adds a soft herbal warmth and a rounder mouthfeel compared to the cleaner, more neutral Original. Gold also goes through an additional silver filtration stage.
Is Russian Standard Gold made from wheat or potato?
Russian Standard Gold is made from Russian winter wheat. It is not a potato vodka. This is part of why it drinks lighter and slightly sweeter than traditional Polish or Eastern European potato vodkas.
How does Russian Standard Gold compare to Belvedere or Stolichnaya Gold?
Belvedere and Russian Standard Gold are both premium wheat vodkas. Belvedere is typically drier and more neutral while Russian Standard Gold carries the distinctive golden root warmth. Compared to Stolichnaya Gold, Russian Standard Gold is a touch softer and rounder on the palate.
How should I serve Russian Standard Gold?
Best served ice cold, straight from the freezer, in a chilled shot glass or martini glass. Works beautifully in a classic vodka martini, a Moscow Mule, or neat alongside caviar, smoked fish, or pickles in traditional zakuski style.
