Pierre Ferrand Selection des Anges, abbreviated SDA, is the flagship expression from Maison Ferrand, blended exclusively from Grande Champagne Premier Cru eaux-de-vie with an average age of 30 years and components reaching up to 55 years old. Crafted by owner and Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel, who acquired the historic Château de Bonbonnet estate in 1989, this cognac is distilled on the lees in small onion shaped Charentais pot stills with a 25 hectoliter capacity, then matured in French oak in Ferrand's 18th century Paradise Cellar. The name Selection des Anges refers to the angel's share, the portion of spirit lost to evaporation during the long maturation that concentrates aromatics to extraordinary intensity. Awarded a Double Gold Medal at the 2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and 94 points from Wine Enthusiast, SDA is presented in an ornate engraved decanter with a sculpted stopper and signature gift box. A serious Grande Champagne expression for the discerning collector.
