Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond 11 Year Old, Fall 2025 edition, is the sixteenth national release in Heaven Hill's celebrated decanter series, which has run twice yearly since its modern revival in 2018. Each release showcases a single distillation season, and this one is comprised of barrels produced in the fall of 2014 and bottled in the fall of 2025, giving it a full 11 year age statement. It meets the strict federal Bottled in Bond standard: the product of a single distillery from a single distilling season, aged a minimum of four years in a federally bonded warehouse, and bottled at exactly 100 proof. Old Fitzgerald is a wheated bourbon, using wheat rather than rye as the secondary grain, and that softer, rounder character is what a decade in Kentucky rickhouses deepens so well. Master Distiller Conor O'Driscoll describes this edition as carrying richness and poise. The bourbon shows a bright amber color and opens with rich bourbon sweetness layered with leather, subtle oak and warm baking spices. The palate leads with honey and butterscotch before unfolding into plums, peaches and figs, and the finish is warm and sweet with dark fruit and milk chocolate. The presentation is a large part of the appeal. The ornate diamond decanter is inspired by an original 1950s Old Fitzgerald design, and every fall release wears the series' black label, while spring editions are green. As on all Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond bourbons, the label displays its distilling and bottling season, a signature of transparency in this category. Released on a strictly allocated basis nationwide, it is as much a display piece as a pour, and a natural addition for anyone building a vertical of the series.
