The tiny Island of Jura, with a community of 212 people, is only a stones throw from Islay. Jura, 12 years old, is initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels before being moved to Oloroso sherry casks for a finishing period. A great example of Juras delicious malts, more than suitable as an after-dinner dram. The nose is nutty sherry with a light whiff of pipe tobacco. The barley covers over rich and sweet with cinnamon to the end .
