The palate is full bodied and generous, layering caramel, brown sugar, dried fruit and cinnamon over the signature wheated softness, with real presence but none of the harshness the proof might suggest. The finish is long and warming, closing on oak, spice and lingering sweetness. It is excellent neat, rewarding over a large cube, and strong enough to carry a serious Old Fashioned.
