madame-backlash-rhubarb-ginger-flavored-gin-750ml
Madame Backlash Rhubarb & Ginger Flavored Gin 750ml

Madame Backlash Rhubarb and Ginger Flavored Gin is a vibrant, modern gin from Black Band Distillery in Peoria, Illinois, a city with such a deep distilling past that it was once known as the Whiskey Capital of the World. Crafted in small batches, it pairs two ingredients that were made for each other: tart, tangy rhubarb and warm, lively ginger. The result is a flavoured gin that leans into bright fruit while keeping a clear botanical backbone, with more balance and restraint than many overtly sweet styles. Bottled at 86 proof, it has enough body to hold its own in a cocktail. The nose opens with a fresh snap of rhubarb, bringing tangy brightness and a subtle earthy edge, followed by the lifted spice of ginger. On the palate, the rhubarb offers a crisp, mouthwatering acidity while the ginger builds gradually, adding warmth and texture without overt heat, before a clean, zesty finish. The bottle itself is a showpiece, decorated with a dreamy illustration of a woman crowned in flowers and songbirds in soft shades of lavender and rose. It makes a striking gift for gin lovers. Try it in a ginger forward gin mule, a tart rhubarb spritz, or simply with premium tonic, plenty of ice and a twist of orange or a slice of fresh ginger.

ABV / Proof

ABV

43%

Proof

86

Size

750ml

Country

United States

Region

Peoria, Illinois

Type

Flavored Gin

Flavors

Rhubarb and ginger

Distillery

Black Band Distillery, Peoria, Illinois

Tasting Notes

Color: Crystal clear.

Nose: Fresh, tangy rhubarb with a subtle earthy note and lifted ginger spice.

Palate: Crisp rhubarb acidity with ginger warmth building gradually over a botanical base.

Finish: Clean and zesty, with lingering gentle spice.

FAQ

Who makes Madame Backlash Gin?

Black Band Distillery in Peoria, Illinois.

What does it taste like?

Tart, bright rhubarb balanced by warming ginger, with a clean, zesty finish.

What proof is it?

It is bottled at 43% ABV, or 86 proof.

Is it a flavored gin?

Yes.
