madame-backlash-dry-gin-750ml
Madame Backlash Dry Gin 750ml

Madame Backlash Dry Gin is the classic foundation of the Madame Backlash range from Black Band Distillery in Peoria, Illinois, a city with such a rich distilling past that it was once called the Whiskey Capital of the World. Crafted in small batches, it is a bold, citrus forward botanical gin designed for martini purists and cocktail enthusiasts alike. Juniper provides the backbone, while bright citrus leads the botanical blend, and the gin carries a creamy, refined texture that gives it real presence in the glass. Bottled at 86 proof, it has the structure to stand up in spirit forward drinks while staying smooth enough to sip lightly chilled. Expect a fresh, zesty nose of citrus peel over clean juniper and soft herbal notes. The palate is layered and well structured, pairing bright lemon and orange character with gentle spice and a rounded, creamy mouthfeel, before a crisp, clean finish with lingering citrus. Like its flavoured siblings, the bottle is a work of art, decorated with an illustration of a woman crowned with flowers and songbirds, here in cool shades of teal and blue. It makes a striking addition to any home bar and an easy gift for gin lovers. Use it in a Dry Martini, a classic Gin and Tonic, a Gimlet or a Negroni.

ABV / Proof

ABV

43%

Proof

86

Size

750ml

Country

United States

Region

Peoria, Illinois

Type

Dry Gin

Distillery

Black Band Distillery, Peoria, Illinois

Tasting Notes

Color: Crystal clear.

Nose: Zesty citrus peel over clean juniper and soft herbal notes.

Palate: Bright lemon and orange with gentle spice and a creamy, rounded texture.

Finish: Crisp and clean, with lingering citrus.

FAQ

Who makes Madame Backlash Dry Gin?

Black Band Distillery in Peoria, Illinois.

Is it flavored?

No. This is the classic dry gin in the range; the Rhubarb and Ginger and Blood Orange bottlings are the flavored versions.

What proof is it?

It is bottled at 43% ABV, or 86 proof.

What does it taste like?

Citrus forward, with juniper, gentle spice and a creamy texture.

How should I drink it?

In a Dry Martini, Gin and Tonic, Gimlet or Negroni.

Where can I buy Madame Backlash Dry Gin online?

Available here at Liquor On Broadway while stock lasts, with fast insured shipping nationwide.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0234/6401/7997/files/madame-backlash-dry-gin-750ml-8825954.webp?v=1792642748
