kentucky-hand-barrel-small-batch-straight-bourbon-750ml
Kentucky Hand Barrel Small Batch Straight Bourbon 750ml

Kentucky Hand Barrel Small Batch Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a bold, full flavoured bourbon presented in one of the most distinctive bottles on the shelf: a barrel shaped decanter finished in white marble with grey veining, complete with raised hoops and rivets and a black wax style cap. It makes an eye catching addition to any home bar and a memorable gift long after the bottle is empty. Inside is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, aged in American white oak barrels charred to a depth of #4, a heavy alligator char that draws out deep vanilla, toasted caramel and oak spice as the whiskey moves in and out of the wood with the seasons. As a straight bourbon, it has been aged for at least two years in new charred oak, and it is bottled at a robust 105 proof, which gives it the weight and intensity to stand up to ice or a cocktail while remaining rich enough to sip on its own. Expect inviting aromas of vanilla and toasted oak with warming winter spice on the nose. The palate opens with ripe vanilla and caramel before giving way to cinnamon and clove, and the finish is bold and warming with a lingering sweetness. Enjoy it neat, over a large cube, or in a robust Old Fashioned or Manhattan.

ABV / Proof

ABV

52.5%

Proof

105

Size

750ml

Country

United States

Region

Kentucky

Type

Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Small Batch

Maturation

American white oak barrels, #4 char

Bottle

Barrel shaped decanter, white marble finish

Tasting Notes

Color: Deep amber.

Nose: Vanilla and toasted oak with warming winter spice.

Palate: Ripe vanilla and caramel giving way to cinnamon and clove.

Finish: Bold and warming, with a lingering sweetness.

FAQ

What proof is Hand Barrel Small Batch?

It is bottled at 105 proof, or 52.5% ABV.

How is it aged?

In American white oak barrels with a #4 char, for at least two years as a straight bourbon.

What makes the bottle unique?

It is shaped like a barrel, with raised hoops and rivets, and finished in white marble with grey veining.

Are there other Hand Barrel expressions?

Yes.
