aluxes-special-tequila-gold-1l
Aluxes Special Tequila Gold 1L

Aluxes Special Tequila Gold is a smooth, golden tequila made from blue agave in Jalisco, Mexico, the heartland of tequila production. Its name honours the aluxes, the small guardian spirits of Maya folklore believed to watch over the land, the fields and those who respect them, a tradition still told across the Yucatán Peninsula today. That legend comes to life on the label, which features a vivid, colourful illustration of a stepped Maya pyramid and a guardian figure surrounded by blossoms in rich pink, teal and gold. A gold tequila offers a slightly rounder, sweeter style than a silver, with a warm golden hue and a smooth, easygoing character that makes it a crowd-pleaser for shots and mixed drinks. Bottled at 80 proof in a generous one-litre bottle with a gold cap and an embossed medallion seal, it is a great value pick for parties, home bars and big-batch cocktails. Expect a soft nose of cooked agave, light caramel and a touch of vanilla. The palate is smooth and mellow, with sweet agave, caramel and gentle spice. The finish is warm and easy. Enjoy it as a classic shot with lime and salt, or mix it into margaritas, tequila sunrises and other agave favourites. Pair it with Aluxes Special Tequila Silver for a full Aluxes line-up behind the bar.

ABV / Proof

ABV

40%

Proof

80

Size

1L

Country

Mexico

Region

Jalisco

Type

Tequila Gold

Agave

Blue agave

Brand

Aluxes

Tasting Notes

Color: Warm pale gold.

Nose: Cooked agave, light caramel and vanilla.

Palate: Smooth and mellow, with sweet agave, caramel and gentle spice.

Finish: Warm and easy.

FAQ

What does Aluxes mean?

Aluxes are small guardian spirits from Maya folklore, believed to protect the land.

How is gold tequila different from silver?

Gold tequila is rounder and slightly sweeter in style, with a golden colour.

What proof is it?

It is 40% ABV, or 80 proof.

What size is the bottle?

The bottle is 1 litre.

How should I use it?

As a shot with lime and salt, or in margaritas and tequila sunrises.

Where can I buy Aluxes Tequila Gold online?

Available here at Liquor On Broadway while stock lasts, with fast insured shipping nationwide.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0234/6401/7997/files/Untitleddesign-2026-10-30T143220.283.webp?v=1793395951
